Those People - Louise Candlish [Mini Review]
Damn, Candlish really does have a knack for writing extremely dislikable characters. I suppose it makes it more realistic, but combined with the superfluous word count it absolutely does not make for an interesting read.
Also just astounded by the quantity of characters; in the first chapter you’re introduced to no less than 11 main characters in 16 pages, with no effort to make them diverse, distinguishable, interesting or memorable; Ralph, Naomi, Darren, Sissy, Finn, Jean, Ant, Em, Tess, Libby, Charlie. They are just all the same bland person.
Love a crime thriller, especially one set in the UK, but I suspect this authors style must not be for me.
